Letter sent to wrong person - no refund

I paid DCB £300 to send a letter to someone who owed me money after leaving a property a few months behind rent and with damage not covered by the damage deposit. They sent it to someone who lived almost 200 miles away. I only found out the location of the person they sent the letter to weeks after it was sent. They refused to refund me as a letter had been sent, ignoring the fact that they sent it to someone who had been living on the other side of the country for years beforehand.

Scam Legal not "law" firm

These people, representing National Parking Control Limited, made a claim against me. Despite clear evidence that they — or their client — had my correct and current address (which was included in multiple pieces of correspondence I received from them prior to the court claim, including the parking tickets themselves), they chose to send the legal claim documents to an old address I no longer had access to.

As a result, I had no opportunity to respond or defend myself before a County Court Judgment (CCJ) was issued against me. I only became aware of the CCJ by chance, through checking my credit report. This has caused serious and unnecessary damage to my credit file, affecting my ability to access financial services.

This feels like a deliberate move designed to secure a default judgment without giving me a fair chance to contest the claim. I find this deeply unfair and unprofessional.

I have now filed an N244 application with the CCBC to have this matter set aside. They will have to come and explain in front of a judge why the claim documents were sent to the wrong address. I have clear evidence that their client had my current address, which should have been used.

Proud of your job title DCB?

Awful people. Why don’t they get a real job like me who works for the NHS helping people, rather than use unethical ways to make money and abuse a legal loophole. Shame on you. I am proud of my job title, I wonder if the employees of this company are.

This company are bullies and incompetent . They ignore all the responses we send and threaten legal action. They should be ignored , do not pay them anything because if you have an audit trail denying the claim against you and have proof DCBL have received it your case will stand up in court because DCBL lie

I win. Losers :)))

I WIN, LOSERS. You discontinued yet another county court case because you know your phony ‘claims’ will never stand up in an actual court. Bit disappointed not to be able to hear a judge throw it out.
68% one star ratings - and that’s only because you HAVE to click on a star to rate you.
Seriously, I’m not sure how you can operate as a legal entity?

Fellow parking ticket recipients……
DO NOT PAY!!! Go to MoneySavingExpert, look for the Parking Fine threads. It can be a little time consuming, but follow the instructions. It’s the only way these clowns will be put out of business……..

And when they discontinue you’ll be part of a great big movement!! :)

Most unethical company ever

I have never known such an unethical company before. It all started when my car broke down, despite telling the land owner and them taking my registration number the appeal was turned down by the parking company and passed on to these… I don’t know what to call them, a company seems too professional - which they aren’t!
12 months of backwards and forwards, telling me they’d come and take my stuff (without a court order) and we ended up in court mediation. Stupid me thought that would be good but they lied constantly to the mediator, told them I’d not be in touch with them at all, and I was under a lot of pressure to pay (the mediator kept telling me the judge wouldn’t care that I’d broken down). So we agreed on the cost of the original fine. I paid it and thought that would be the end of it. But no. 4/5 phone calls a day from them, they keep threatening me about this outstanding fine! I’ve ended up having to send them a cease and desist letter it’s gotten so bad.
Feel like it’s my origin story, thanks to DCB Legal I’ve now got involved with my local MP lobbying parliament to remove private companies access to DVLA records (which they’re under no legal obligation to share). Thanks DCB Legal, both houses have started talking about the matter.

These cowboys tried to scam me into…

These cowboys tried to scam me into paying 3 PCNs in a road where there was no markings or clear signage.

They then sold the 'debt' to DCB, who are a phoney bailiffs company. DCB escalated this to their solicitors who are called DCB Legal. These pretend solicitors starting sending me legal letters asking me to pay £710, which consisted of loads of madeup added fees. I didn't fall for their tricks and let the judge decide in court yesterday.

The judge was having none of it and sent DCB Legal and Secure Parking Solutions back to the gutter where they came from. The judge also ordered them to pay me back court costs, how ironic.

Don't fall for any tricks from Secure Parking Solutions or DCB Legal. Take it to court and find example defences and witness statements on the moneysaving website forums.

These are conmen

These are conmen. First they present themselves as "bailiffs" and demand PCN payment (thanks but no thanks) with a footnote "this case is not based on court order or bailiff action". Then they present themselves as "solicitors" and demand payment (thanks but no thanks) or asking to fill in "Response Form" on their web-page to the Letter of Claim. The "submit" button just would not submit my response.

Troubleshooting: small print "reference not found" appears few seconds after pressing "submit" key.

Finally I was able to submit it after trying different addresses (they like to switch communication methods to make you lose important letters) in combination with the right reference number: case number (XX), letter reference number (!!). The latter had a trap - there was a dot in the middle of the long number - something my poor eyesight did not get first time. Not a dash, not a slash, not a space even but a tiny dot. Cunning.

No acknowledgment from DCB Legal regarding receiving my response form.

Yet another bunch of scam artists

Would have loved to have given a zero star rating for these clowns. Actively waited 5 years so that they could pursue a £1.40 parking ticket (which was paid) without me having the evidence in existence to back it up. Then deliberately ignored correspondence so they could take it to "court" (Otherwise known as Nottingham Business court, which is a sndodgy as they are) to then only fall at the last hurdle because I called their bluff.
These idiots just wait and hope you're too scared to face them in court, and barrage you with automated letters etc so you back down.
1. Gather your evidence.
2. Reply to everything they send.
3. Take them all the way, including mediation etc. as they don't want you to take them on in court.
Best of luck to you all, and report every dodgy action they take.

If you get a fine, acknowledge it, attend your local Court and you wont get a ccj, ignoring HM Court letters gets you nowhere - scam dcbl letters, file in rubbish pile for 6 years!! They earn billions if you ignore HMCourts.

Not legal at all

Have no idea how this company have got my phone number when I an registered with TPS. I have agreed to go to court and now they don't want to pursue, they know they're wrong and my evidence back this up. Yet two years later they still continue to ring. Dodgy, do not deal with them, obtained my phone number illegally as I did not give them any details.

Would have given zero stars if I could

Would have given zero stars if I could. Absolutely shocking company to deal with. My wife was issued wrongly with a parking notice after her lease company issued the wrong keeper details to the parking enforcement company. Despite us having proof from the lease company they would not listen and pursued a CCJ which has taken us 18 months to get set aside at court. All they are interested in is collecting money. You can’t contact them easily and when you do get through they are extremely unhelpful and do not listen. Avoid at all costs!

Absolutely disgusting company

Absolutely disgusting company, totally incompetent and they have failed to act on a high court order because the subject told them she was a vulnerable person!  So the useless enforcement officer chose to walk away and not do the job that he was paid to do and chose to override a Court judgement and high court order.  I would advise never to have anything to do with these total clowns and use a reputable enforcement agency with a better review of 1.3 ! Google reviews are there for a reason.
