Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 156 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people expressed dissatisfaction with the company's claims, often finding them to be questionable or lacking clear justification, such as alleged parking violations despite proof of payment. Customers frequently reported issues with payment demands for services not rendered or for fines that were disputed, leading to frustration and a sense of being unfairly targeted. Additionally, many found it impossible to communicate with the company, citing unanswered emails and unreturned phone calls. Though some people found the staff helpful and courteous, a significant number of reviewers described the staff as rude, unprofessional, and unresponsive. There were also concerns about the overall service, with some experiencing persistent communication that customers found aggressive or intimidating, and others feeling that the company's processes were automated and perceived as overly aggressive rather than helpful in resolving issues fairly.

We have recently used DCB legal with an issue with tenants and Katie has been very efficient and has given us a successful outcome with our case. Katie has been amazing at supporting us throughout at a very stressful time. I cannot recommend DCB legal especially Katie and the team enough.

Scammers- don't fall for it

This company is totally fraudulent and should be shut down. Aggressively pursued my partner for two parking tickets she had already paid and continued to harass her when she gave them proof of payment actually taking her to small claims court (or tried!). Here is the scam: bully, harass and send threatening letters to people so that they cave in and pay money they don't actually owe. Only costs them about 35 pound to put a claim in and they do this thousands of times and they are banking on some of those people being so stressed they will pay to end that stress. If they are bullying you and you know you have paid IGNORE Them and contact the court directly. Follow all requests from the court and it will get sorted. Do not ignore the court letters or it automatically goes in their favour. Ignore them and only deal with the court. It does get sorted. Look up the company and you'll see what a greasy sicko the CEO is. One day he will have his comeuppance but in the meantime dont fall for their nonsense.

They need to be sued—they do whatever…

They need to be sued—they do whatever they want. They supposedly bought the debt from a private company where my parking spot was legally allowed and had always been there. Then, they allegedly sold the fine to DCB Legal, and now these bad people are demanding £280 from me.

I told them that I’m already struggling financially and asked if I could at least pay it off in £50 monthly installments, but they refused. I ended up paying £140 at that time.

Because of Christmas and New Year, they are now pressuring me again, and I see that I supposedly still owe them £165.84—without any legal signature or anything at all!

What kind of scam is this?! My mental state has taken a hit, and I don’t want to deal with fraudsters!

Falsifying PCNs/legal claims to exploit people.

They are a solicitors firm who act for the parking management companies who exploit hardworking UK taxpayers, including Parking Eye & G24. They/their clients appear to falsify PCNs, register a claim at courts & try to hustle CCJs on the name of innocent taxpayers. In my case, they registered a claim in relation to a so-called PCN that I contested and resolved in December 2022, in Novemeber 2024 to try to make some money. I was out of the country for business, so tried to respond when I got back into the country. When I tried, I learned they had rushed to default judgment so that they could put a CCJ against my name. In doing so, they held me randsom and I had to pay for a resolved/non-existent PCN in order to clear the CCJ.

It's disappointing that so called law firms (are they even a regulated law firm?) can concoct these kind of schemes in the name of making money. How far the UK has fallen.

I guess my advice is to sell your car & use public transport in the UK - there's a clear war against motorists to try to milk them for every thing they have. So very sad.

SCUM.

SCUM.
Did their very best to bully and intimidate my Wife over an 8 month period to pay a falsified parking fine.
We refused to pay and the court date was set for 3/3/25.
Received an email today confirming they will not be attending court and will be dropping the falsified charge. Do not be intimidated by this scumbag criminal outfit. Problem is that most people are and they make millions from their intimidating and bullying tactics.

I received a letter threatening ccj…

I received a letter threatening ccj against me just before Christmas, I panicked and paid the 170.00,
Before re reading the letter and realising the offence apparently occurred in 2019 !!
Lucky me I have received another from October last year from a parking site on Salford Quays when I went out for tea with 4 friends we were all trying to pay the parking so we were around the machine trying to get 3hrs parking but it would not log more than 2hrs so we thought it must be free after 8pm.
After receiving the initial notification I appealed, then received a letter saying the original letter was wrong and the fine stands.
Even though I explained that 4 of us were trying to pay my friend got her card there 1st.
Anyhoo now I have another letter from this dcbltd for 170.00

This company is a debt collector

This company is a debt collector, they buy cheap debt from car parking companies.

Lots of threats.
Firstly don’t ignore a court response, non return means they win and get a CCJ against you.

Respond to the court in Nottingham and they then mediate.. in which DCBL will offer you a 20% discount.

Refuse it if you have reasonable grounds, take to court .

THEY WILL NOT TAKE YOU TO COURT IF YOU HAVD REASONABLE GROUNDS. They will have to come to your local area … it’s not worth it for them so they will drop case.

The only wins they get is from folk not replying to court documents.

Their refs in here are done by themselves.

DCB Legal represents BaySentry Solution - a parking company with Exploitative Practices and Poor Standards

BaySentry Solutions, a parking company allegedly hired to manage a gated residential car park in York, has deeply concerning practices. They issue residents with handwritten permits in pen, which fade quickly when exposed to sunlight. Depending on the car’s outdoor usage, these permits can become illegible within a few months.

Once the permits fade, Bay Sentry Solutions issues fines to residents who are lawfully using their prepaid parking spaces. To make matters worse, their so-called "solicitors" at DCB Legal pursue these fines in court, despite being fully aware that the company’s practices are exploitative and arguably fraudulent.

It’s baffling that such predatory practices are allowed to operate in a civilised country like the UK. These actions erode trust and highlight a lack of adequate regulation in the parking enforcement sector. I can only hope that the courts will see through this behaviour and act with integrity, ensuring justice is served.

Absolute robbers without a conscience

Absolute robbers without a conscience. I tried to speak to them reasonably on behalf of a vulnerable person who didn't understand the signs in a car park and could read the letters sent. They literally cared not at all. No idea how the sleep at night.

Still chasing a debt which went to court I have the evidence that the debt has been paid for but I still get text messages and the odd phone call getting in contact with this company is incredibly hard

They have a cheek to add £147.00 to my account but I kept to the agreement watch the court said but seems like they don't keep their records up to date

I am extremely dissatisfied and…

I am extremely dissatisfied and outraged with the bullying tactics employed by DBL Legal. This company has recklessly threatened to put a CCJ on my credit report and have done so , jeopardizing my chance of securing a mortgage—a crucial step in my life. Despite submitting a defense to the court, I received no correspondence from the Nexus Group regarding the alleged parking incident at Clacket Services.

DBL Legal’s aggressive and unfair behavior has caused me immense stress, leaving me sleepless for two days until I was forced to pay them £582 for two claims, even though the court had received my defense. This unjust action has severely impacted my finances, preventing me from paying my essential bills.

I will not let this go unchallenged. If I do not get my money back, I will fight this to the last breath. DBL Legal, your actions have caused undue hardship, and I demand justice. Your bullying tactics have no place in a fair and just society, and I will ensure my voice is heard until this wrong is righted.I don’t understand how can the civil business court allow this to happen

Terrible joke of a “law firm”

This company is the enforcement arm for the private car park cowboys.
They use bombastic threats to try and extort unreasonable charges.
But they are embarrassingly incompetent and useless - I’m sure they couldn’t locate a courthouse lest present a case.
Answer all court correspondence but treat this amateur outfit with utter contempt - they will skulk off eventually.

0 stars but 1 is the lowest I can pick

Unsure how they sleep at night
Awful company, harassing you by phone call’s (using different numbers too). Will harass you for money if you stay just 10 minutes late over in a public car park (even when you explain they’re wrong it’s a mistake etc they don’t care). Threaten you with CCJ’s. There’s a lot worse going on the world couldn’t you all get a worth while job rather than harass people for money and make out they’re criminals. Disgusting company should be shut down
