This was a wonderful experience…

This was a wonderful experience considering the circumstances. Dr.Lara was exceptionally kind and gentle with my dog Harley.
She carefully explained everything and made sure Harley was comforted. She even sent a sympathy card after the fact. It was beyond the call of duty !!

A really bad experience

CodaPet sent a vet that had not practiced veterinary medicine in 2 years to help our sick kitty cross the rainbow bridge . It was awful for me but worse it was awful for her. I would absolutely never recommend them.

My little cat Tiger was diagnosed with…

My little cat Tiger was diagnosed with FIV. A week after his vet visit he developed FACT. His back legs were not working and he was miserable. I scheduled an appointment for 10:00am the next morning. I hoped and prayed he didn’t get worse throughout the night. I received a text from Dr. Kerstin Stucky. She was on her way to bed but knew how bad things might get before my scheduled appointment. She came to the house at 12:30am. She was fantastic. Very kind, compassionate and very professional. My baby boy passed away at home very peacefully. I cannot say enough about how important it is to have this service available for your pet in their own home by this company. I would highly recommend using them when the time comes to make that hard decision.

We had our sweet boy Max put to rest yesterday afternoon. I was incredibly hard and emotional for both my husband and I. We knew it was time...

We knew our baby was terminal, but she seemed to be doing ok. Things took a sudden turn, she had a terrible night and we knew we had to do what was right by her and it had to be that day. Our Veterinarian had given us names of their preferred providers for in-home euthanasia and we immediately started our review. The CodaPet site was so easy to navigate and laid out every step in clear detail. In addition, they had dates and times that you could schedule and we prayed that the early evening time that we chose for the same day would be confirmed. We were so thankful when we received an immediate confirmation and Dr. Perzak reached out to us. We were dreading having to find alternative option such as an Emergency Vet, as we knew that we needed for our girl to pass peacefully in her favorite spot with us by her side. Dr. Perzak was so compassionate as she went over what to expect. She also explained that she would have an assistant waiting in the car to help take our baby from our home on a stretcher to their vehicle for cremation. We asked and she agreed that we could help in carrying the stretcher to the car, as we felt we owed it to our girl to be with her through to the very end.
When Dr. Perzak arrived at our home, her calm, warm, and gentle demeanor immediately put both us and our girl at ease. Dr. Perzak was so patient, taking the time to explain every single step of the process as she was going through it. We never felt rushed and were given all the space we needed in the comfort of our home. I offered to clear things out of her way, but she was so gracious in working around our chaos so that we could focus our attentions on our girl. Dr. Perzaks attendant waited patiently in the car throughout the entire process and only came up after the Dr. asked us to let her know when we were ready for our girl to be taken away. Once we confirmed, her assistant came in with the stretcher and we all walked with her to the waiting vehicle. I wanted to also give her assistant the praise that he deserves, as he would not move her to the stretcher until he was certain that everything was just right and that we were all ready to lift and carry. That was just one of the many details that meant the world to us and made a devastating day feel beautifully peaceful and dignified. We can’t say enough thank you’s to Dr. Perzak and her team and are so grateful that she was there for us and our baby when we needed her most.

Unfortunately the vet J. Picketts that came at a very difficult time of need was to focused on showing her breast cleavage to my boyfriend and asked for me to move away from my pets face and told him to come to where I was to be closer to her. Very uncomfortable experience when I was in such a grieving state of loss of my ESA. I will never be using her services again. Very uncomfortable experience when my focus should’ve been on my dog and not her wanting my boyfriends attention in my time I need.

Clinically Complete but Spiritually Lacking

First, the positives: I appreciated the ability to book in-home euthanasia last-minute and over a holiday weekend when my little guy declined suddenly and I needed to act fast. I also appreciated the vet administering the shots while my cat was in my arms, placed a waterproof blanket in my lap, offered for me to carry him to her car afterwards, and gave me a hug before she left. I appreciated all of those things and how difficult her job is. I appreciated that his physical passing was peaceful.

The negatives: The vet was a bit clunky and loud and I had to advocate for more space several times when I should have been able to focus on my cat. She arrived and first put a clipboard of paperwork for me to sign on the chair my ailing, confused cat was. I leaned over to shield him with my arms as she showed me the urn options and explained the 3-shot process.

I knew my cat would go unconscious quickly and wanted to be present with him while he went under. The vet wanted to chat as if I were a colleague about how euthanasia differs between dogs and cats, speaking loudly and distracting me after she administered the first shot. I quickly told her I needed more silence while I was trying to talk to my cat in his last conscious moments. She also spoke to my cat and kissed him on the head, which was well intentioned but failed to consider my boundaries and how this was MY relationship I was losing and how I could not redo this experience.

Perhaps she is used to diffusing some of the tension with humor and chitchat at other appointments, but I did not appreciate it. It should feel like you, the vet, are not even there. I feel this was treated more as a clinical encounter based on her behavior and less of a sacred experience. Don't make your clients/patients advocate for silence and space when they are actively grieving, please.

Hi Jessi,

I am so sorry that we missed the mark with you and your sweet cat.

As everyone grieves differently, it can be a challenge to "read the room" correctly and understand how to approach the end of life for a beloved family member. We missed it big time here. I am so sorry that you needed to advocate for your needs and the experience was still not the one you wanted. We have shared your feedback with the vet and she has taken it quite to heart. I know that is small consolation (if any at all) but we appreciate you taking the time to share so we have thoughtful feedback.

Sending warm wishes for peace and comfort as you continue to miss your precious boy.

Dr. Lisa Fieg - CodaPet: A Gem of a Human Being

It has taken me one month to the day to muster up the strength to compose this review of the kind, incredible, beyond-caring Dr. Lisa Fieg of CodaPet.

Dr. Lisa helped me and my husband say goodbye to our beloved, cherished, adored 15 1/2 year-old Alfie. I can say with all the certainty there is that Dr. Lisa was the most sensitive, caring, ideal type of human being to guide through this difficult process.

She came and sat with all of us, explained everything, and most importantly, Alfie was so comfortable in her company from the start. Dr. Lisa was compassionate, gentle, a very clear communicator, profound, and led this process with such care.

Even afterward, which was beyond surreal, Dr. Lisa assured us that she would make sure Alfie traveled safely back with her in the car. She had a lovely basket which meant so much as we didn't know how his body would travel back for cremation. That personal, kind detail made an unbearably painful moment less agonizing.

Thank you from the core of our hearts, Dr. Lisa, for proceeding with such love & gentility with our beloved Alfie. We feel like we were meant to find you to help us through Alfie's final moments. We will never forget you.

Dignity, warmth and kindness to pet and humans alike

This is one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write. This morning, we came to the conclusion that our Siamese cat, Mochi, had come to the end of her life and there was nothing further that could be done to help her except put her out of her misery. Mochi could not stand, move, expel waste, eat, drink, hold her head, or even close her eyes.
April Le Blanc was the kindest, more reassuring person I’ve ever met. I felt sure I was doing the right thing, at a time when every path was confusing and uncertain. I was afraid of judgment, of the fear of hearing, or not hearing, that there was something else that could be done before so final of an outcome. It’s a real rollercoaster of emotions, euthanizing a pet. Mochi wasn’t just a pet, she was my soul cat.
It was my first time going through anything like this. I felt peace, so much peace. I know that if I was making the wrong decision, Dr April would have told me, as she mentioned she’d told other clients beforehand if euthanasia isn’t the right choice. Dr April even arrived early (on a Saturday morning) as I mentioned I was free before the confirmed appointment time. That meant a lot, because I was unsure if Mochi would be able to hang on, and didn’t want to prolong her suffering.
What strikes me most is the dignity, warmth and care with which not only Mochi but my husband and I were treated (Dr April even greeted my elderly mother-in-law so graciously). We weren’t ‘just another customer’ to rush through. Mochi was treated like the queen she is and always will be – we are just helping her to pass through this life so she can be released from her pain.
As Dr April has over 30 years of veterinary expertise in an emergency setting, you can absolutely trust her judgment, her conduct and her bedside manner – all of which are very pleasant. I could just feel the kindness and care radiating from her being. She let me know what was probably going on with my cat toward this very end of her life, including that she was in severe pain, having suffered neurological collapse, which there is no way back from. That put all the incessant thoughts of ‘isn’t there something more we can do instead of euthanizing her?’ out of my head, and brought me peace.
All of this to say, Dr April and Codapet is the only one I’d want to help me and my pets through a time like this, as the entire thing was handled so carefully and lovingly. It gave me such peace, and this only happened this morning so I’m still processing the loss of my fur daughter.
I cannot thank April enough for her help today.

Dr. Sarah Wratten with Coda Pet.. is a blessing

Dr. Sarah Wratten, Was an actual (God send.)
She arrived at our home in debary, FL.
For what was a gut wrenchingly sorrowful occasion, and she brought with her peace and tranquility.
Not only soothing our Bindi’s fears, but ours as well.
In my life I have taken quite a few Furbabies to veterinary clinics at their end, always cold, clinical, and scary for my pet.
But, Dr.Sarah Wratten came to our home, made everyone feel calm and peaceful. She very patiently discussed the process, and procedure, took her time as not to add any undue stress.
We petted, Hugged, Kissed, and Spoke to our little Angel through the entire process, giving her favorite treats as long as she had interest. Until our Bindi crossed the bridge… There were NO surprises, No hard sell, EVERYTHING was included in the price she quoted us..
( many places wanted to charge an additional trip fee…)
Sarah, Carefully and lovingly bundled my angel up for her journey, told us when and where we can pick up Bindi’s Cremains. ( Even offered grief counseling information.)
I only wish I knew of this option with my previous furbabies..
“Dr. Sarah Wratten is a true God send”
Thank you for the loving attention and dignity you provided.

Euthanasia of our dog

Dr. Sarah Clem was incredibly compassionate and gentle throughout the entire in-home euthanasia process. She made a heartbreaking moment feel peaceful and full of love, treating our pet with such dignity and kindness. Her calm presence, patience, and genuine care meant more to our family than we can express. Choosing in-home euthanasia for our dog Chloe was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made, but it also gave us the chance to say goodbye in a peaceful, familiar place surrounded by love. Being able to hold her, talk to her, and let her go without fear or stress brought comfort during an incredibly painful moment. Even though the grief was overwhelming, we’re grateful her final moments were calm and filled with love.”

Saying Goodbye to Bubba Dog

Choosing to say goodbye to our 14-year-old Boxer-Basenji mix, Bub, was one of the most agonizing decisions of our lives. Because he still seemed so spry and alert, my husband and I were plagued by the fear that we were acting too soon. However, after his diagnosis of a large abdominal mass and his loss of appetite, we were terrified that we were just delaying the inevitable, and we could not bear to think of him suffering in silence.

Dr. Cassandra Lewis was the answer to our prayers during this impossible time.

Why Dr. Lewis is Extraordinary:

Immediate Comfort: From the moment she arrived, she felt like family. She sat right on the living room floor with Bub and his brother, Remington, winning them both over instantly with her calm, soothing presence. She took time explaining the process, answering our questions, and at no point did we feel rushed or like we were "just another appointment."

Validation Without Pressure: She reviewed Bub's medical history and gently confirmed that we were making a selfless, loving choice. She helped us realize that "a week too early is better than a day too late," removing the heavy burden of guilt from our shoulders.

A Dignified Transition: The entire process was peaceful. Dr. Lewis provided num-numsfor Bub to enjoy during the sedation and gave us all the time we needed to cuddle and kiss him goodbye.

Gentle Care: When it was time to leave, she wrapped Bub in blankets as snugly and gently as if he were her own.

To any pet owner facing this heartbreak: please reach out to Dr. Lewis. She turned a traumatic, agonizing day into a beautiful, peaceful transition. We cannot thank her enough for the grace she showed our baby and our family.
