Absolutely gutted I stay so far away…

Absolutely gutted I stay so far away from the shop as I love the online shop and would love a nosey on the real thing!!!…have ordered quite a few bits and always been delighted great quality and Wash great!!.. the girls are also amazing at getting back to messages about sizing or just general questions can’t wait to order some holiday wear great shop ❤️Xx

Lover jumper, but ok quality.

I am a first time buyer at CBL and bought a stunning green and pink knitted jumper, which I just had to have. The colours were a little bit different from the photos, but this didn’t bother me. However, the stitching inside the jumper is a little off in places and I’m worried that it might become loose or will get caught in the future. I have received loads of compliments wearing it, though I do question it’s quality.

Ok service.

Ok - Ish service, returns take a while to process and the fact that you pay for delivery and returns is annoying! (Actually puts me off ordering in case I have to return the item)

I'm so sorry to hear you feel that our returns process takes a while, we're actually currently processing refunds no longer than a few days after we receive the return, we feel this is a super quick service but of course if we can do better we will always try. :)

I appreciate paying for shipping and returns can be frustrating, unfortunately as a small family run business we don't get the same shipping incentives that the bigger brands get and so at this time this wouldn't be feesable for us. However we do offer free shipping on order over £75 and free exchanges.

As we grow hopefully so will our incentives.

I ordered a top from online and it came…

I ordered a top from online and it came really quickly and really well packaged. Top was lovely on and have worn several time and quality is really good. I have read some of the reviews and they seem very unfair. Postage is expensive and as a small company they can't give things like that away for nothing they are a business after all. I think the postage price is fair and I would definitely buy from again.

Love this store

I discovered this shop online, I have not visited as live quite a distance. I’ve ordered many dresses from coco I love the different styles and colours. Everything I have ordered had been amazing, arriving in good time beautifully packaged. Great customer service when needed help Thank you coco boo

The clothes are beautiful, however…

The clothes are beautiful, honestly so stunning and the customer service is amazing! But as a UK size 12(mostly)/14 I find that even some of their largest sizes don’t fit me. Some do, some don’t it’s very hit or miss!

Returning is a farce as unfortunately there is no free returns.

In regards to free returns, I appreciate this can be frustrating, as a small family run business we unfortunately don't get the postage concessions that some of the bigger brands do and at this time it's not something we can offer, we do however offer free shipping on orders over £75 and free exchanges and hopefully as we grow we will be able to offer even more.

I see in your reply you didn’t mention anything about the fact you have accused me (And other people leaving reviews on here) of ripping and tearing the items we are trying to send back because they were faulty !!! I think your completely missing the point, that’s an awful way to run a business and treat your customers.
You keep mentioning your a small family business, you have just bought a large new premises and employ more than just family members and a clearly doing well for yourselves ,.. it’s a shame you don’t put some of that back to your customers … refunding faulty items would be a good start.

Yes it’s true I have ordered a few things from you as I did like the style, I actually never mentioned in my first review that the first black body warmer I ordered came faulty, thankfully I noticed this before I took that tag off or I would of been knackered for that too, I also ordered a run DMC top that had a hole in it too, I quietly accepted your refusal to refund that, so the leather trousers were actually the 3rd thing that came faulty, so no wonder I actually expected a refund and am adamant I won’t shop at your store again or recommend anyone else to either.

I wish I searched on trust pilot before I bought … my experience is very much like everyone else on here when it comes to returning faulty items.

I bought and wore a pair of faux leather trousers for about 1 hour I literally came out the shower put them on and drove to work when I noticed the entire stitching at the crotch area had come away. I took photos of the huge gapping whole of the crotch area and emailed the customer services department only to be told as I had worn them they couldn’t be returned.

My argument that they are faulty as they fell apart after an hour of wear was falling on deaf ears as I had taken the tags off 🙈 I replied to say surely when people buy goods from you the expect them to last longer than an hour !!! It’s poorly made if it only lasts one hour and clearly faulty and wasn’t stitched right in the first place.

At this point I really had to push with her to move this forward, so I email again, she said send them back recorded delivery and we will have our seamstress assess them to see if they can be fixed and we will send them back, at this point I asked if I would be refunded for the postage as I would again be out of pocket sending them back to them. It was agreed that I would be refunded if they were faulty.

Fast forward a week no word from the company, I then emailed them to ask if they had received as I sent back recorded, only then they replied to say they had them.

Eventually I get an email saying the seamstress had fixed them but in her professional opinion I had caught them and ripped them myself !!!! They actually blamed me !!! Bearing in mind they were ripped the full length of the crotch I think I would of noticed … it’s hardly an place you can catch and not notice walking around the house and driving your car. It’s absolutely ridiculous a company just thinks it’s ok to blame you and say your lying when it’s completely obvious they have sold you cheap and nasty goods.

So because this “professional seamstress” said that I done it (which I categorically never !!!) they won’t refund the postage back to me, which they said they would. So I’m left out of pocket.

I know it’s only postage but it’s the principle of it, I too own a company and I would never ever treat my clientele this way, you have to be fair and accusing customers of tearing and ripping clothes themselves and refusing refunds isn’t fair of right.

No doubt she will come on and give a big long spew about how they fixed them as a good will gesture and blah blah blah but at the end of the day you should of fixed them and not sold me crap quality

I never leave bad reviews, in fact this is the first I’ve ever left that’s negative but that’s how strongly I feel about it as the customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Beware when you buy it’s like a spin of the wheel what quality of products you will get are, and if they are faulty they won’t replace them and you have just wasted you money and a lot of time pointlessly emailing them. take my advice and shop elsewhere, x

correspondence via our customer service team that you mentioned ordering from us lots of times, you’ve always been happy with our service never having an issue with any of our items and recommending us to many of your friends. It’s such a shame that on this occasion you’ve been left disappointed when it seems you’ve previously really enjoyed shopping with us.

Unfortunately we are not able to accept returns for refunds on items that have been worn and defected with wear. This wasn’t a manufacturing fault. As a gesture of goodwill we offered to pay for these to be repaired which you happily accepted, that’s why I’m slightly perplexed by this review. We paid for this service and also paid to send these back to yourself.

As a small family run business we really do try and go above and beyond for our customers, we really want them to have the best shopping experience with us and it’s a real shame to hear you’ve been left dissatisfied on this occasion.

coco boo -we got you

I haven't been to the shop, as I live a distance away, however, I came across the shop on FB and ordered through the website (many times now!). I love there slogan "we got you boo" The clothes are so different, but great quality and I love the way the girls team them up on FB to show you how to wear them. I feel I know the girls even though I haven't met them! I will make a visit to Halifax some day just to say hello!

I paid £72 for a dress and wore to a…

I paid £72 for a dress and wore to a wedding for a couple of hours. Lace became unstitched which was embarrassing. I returned as faulty in use as consumer advice advised and they accused me of damaging the item also like what it seems from reviews here they do this often. How sad, that customer service stoops that low to get out of keeping a customer satisfied and there rights. I will now take proceedings to claim not only the dress money but the postage to. Thank you huns xx what a joke !!

We sent the dress out to yourself in a perfect condition and quality checked.
You received the dress in a perfect condition and wore the dress to an occasion. It seems that whilst wearing it the shoulder has ripped.
Unfortunately we can’t take responsibility for this as this isn’t a manufacturing fault.
You returned this to us after 2 months and unfortunately we do not accept returns on items that have been worn and become unwanted. This is standard practise for an online store. We did however offer to repair as a gesture of goodwill as we have an in-house seamstress who could try and fix the rip for you. You declined this goodwill offer.
I’m sorry the outcome isn’t what you hoped for but unfortunately we just can’t accept a return on an unwanted item once it’s worn.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Items are poor quality and they do not replace/refund faulty items.
Then they try to accuse you of damaging the item by pulling the button off!! Not sure why I’d do this just for a replacement jacket. It cost me £7 to send back and the response was I’ve done this to get a new jacket as the one I sent had a sugar packet in the pocket and granules!! I’m sure it would of been cheaper for me to just wash it or even get it dry cleaned rather than going through the hassle of damaging it and then sending back at a cost to myself!! Shocking customer service.

Its such a shame you felt we deserved 1 star and we would love the opportunity to respond and hopefully explain why we couldn’t offer a refund on this occasion.

You sent us an email explaining an item was ‘faulty’. As always our customer care team were more than happy to help and asked for the item to be returned to us for inspection.
Upon inspection of the return we found the item had been worn and damaged. We’d not been made aware of this prior and the item had been returned to us without labels, covered in mud splashes and with loose sugar and sugar sachets in the pocket.

Due to the condition in which it was returned we explained that as a gesture of goodwill we would offer a repair. We would happily replace the popper (the item wasn’t received with a missing popper) and we would send this back to yourself.
You declined this offer.

We would never and have never accused any of our customers of purposely damaging an item.
Unfortunately as a small business we are not able to offer free returns at this time, however we do offer free shipping on orders over £50 and your order qualified for this.

Unfortunately due to the condition of the item returned we felt a repair was a fair gesture.

I only ever really write review unless…

I only ever really write reviews if i am appalled or really excited about a place...but i couldn't be happier with this shop! I've bought a fair amount of clothes/accessories in store that I'm OBSESSED with and always had a very pleasant experience, the staff are always lovely and helpful which is a huge bonus. I'm also a bit anxious to order things online because of the hassle but thought I'd give it a go and thank god i did, it's saved me from having to leave the house in the current situation we're all in 🙏
All in all, great quality, great service (online & instore) and clothes that make me feel better about myself. Thank you 💕

High prices for poor quality!

Prices are expensive for the quality of the items. The styles are nice but they are all cheaply made! The customer service is not great at all and the delivery prices and returns are terrible. I really do not believe in paying to return and item, especially when it arrives and is different than described online! Overall I would not be buying from them again!

That's such a shame to hear, lovely.

The terms and conditions regarding our returns policy are readily available on our website prior to purchase, therefore customers can decide whether to purchase or not. We must re-iterate, as we have stated in our previous correspondence, that we do not offer free returns on unwanted items. We do however offer free returns on faulty items. In this instance, the item was in perfect condition and simply deemed unwanted/unsuitable upon receipt of it.

With regards to our postage costs, £3.95 is a very fair rate and a service that our company certainly doesn't profit from. Free postage is given to orders over £50.00

We would also like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the issue with our customer service; we have fully co-operated and replied almost immediately throughout the process, going into detail how we work.

'The styles are nice but they are all cheaply made!'. We are perplexed by this generalisation as our records show that this was your first order with us, ordering one particular style.

I don't usually write reviews however felt I had to give cocoboo their just deserts. I ordered a lounge suit which I had my eye on for a while.. due to the current situation the delivery was delayed but this was more due to royal mail rather than cocoboo. I was concerned about not receiving my item especially after reading the reviews but the customer service was spot on and they responded to me in record time. Can't tell u how much i love my lounge suit I've ordered another one which came without any issues. Only downside if there was one is they don't answer the phone.. Thank you cocoboo.. x

We’re very active on all our social media portals and have shared great reviews on these channels so it’s a shame you felt concerned about not receiving items. We have been established since 2010 and our online since 2017, we are a very reputable company and our customer service means everything to us. 💓
Prior to COVID-19 when our store was open the phone line was attended to within the hours of 9.30am to 6pm, Mon-Sat. Unfortunately since the pandemic we’ve had to reduce these hours significantly until our store can re-open again. Although we are not able to answer the phone as quickly and efficiently as before ALL emails are responded to very promptly. And we’re always Active on social media to answer any questions anyone may have.
Hopefully we can go back to ‘normal’ very soon and this small disruption to our service can be resumed.
