I had a positive experience completing the Health Information Management program through the Centre for Distance Education. The fully remote format and asynchronous learning made it easy to balance school with family and other responsibilities. The courses were clearly structured, expectations were well laid out, and the flexibility allowed me to learn at my own pace. Instructor support was consistently strong, and I always felt encouraged and supported throughout the program. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a flexible and well-organized path into health information management.

I am grateful to have learning experience at CD-ED. Their support to students are exceptional. After I graduated on Accounting Technician Diploma, I got hired right away as a bookkeeper in an accounting firm. Thanks to CD-ED.

Thanks to CD-ED give me the opportunity to do the program. From the very begging, when I am looking to pursue my program, I got the best and great support from the student advisor to process my application. later when I applied for the student loan to, financial advisor also helped me a lot to made this easy for me. And specially, one thing I need to give the thanks to CD-ED communication responses regarding the admission information. They were very quick and response quickly which also help to me come back to school. I didn't get this support from other universities. Their communication system were very hard to talk with them.
And CD-ED gave me the opportunity to learn by my own time and this is the very important things which peoples are looking for to come back to school for pursue their own program for their career.
During the studying, I am grateful to my instructor Jennifer who is really doing great and very helpful. Otherwise, it was very difficult for me to continue my studying.
Finally, everyone, who are related to my program are very active and responsible and active to provide the guide line to make the career great with the program.

My instructor, Jennifer Woodsworth, was amazing! She kept me calm as a really nervous first-time student in over 15 years. She was always prompt and reassuring with her answers to my emails and questions. I would recommend her to anyone!

When I can get in touch with my teachers, they tried to be helpful. However with the teachers working oddball hours, getting in touch with them can sometimes be a bit challenging. I have waited up to 3 days to get an answer to some questions which puts me far behind on my assignments. Stressful.

I am an upcoming graduate of the 52-week Office Administrative Assistant course through the Centre for Distance Education, and it has been a fantastic experience. The program is structured and engaging, and provides all the skills and knowledge needed to feel confident entering the field.

My instructor has been excellent — knowledgeable, supportive, and truly passionate about teaching. The lessons are easy to follow, and help is always available whenever questions come up. I’ve also had the pleasure of interacting with other staff and facilitators throughout the program. Everyone has been friendly, approachable, and willing to provide guidance whenever needed, which made the learning experience even more positive and supportive.

Being an online, self-directed course, it requires strong time management, organization, and motivation — all of which are developed and strengthened throughout the program. It has been a rewarding experience, and I would confidently recommend CD-ED to anyone seeking flexible, high-quality online education.

My experience has been great with CD-ED throughout my program. The courses were challenging but successfully completing them with the support of the instructors and staff made it worth the effort.
In addition to the independent learning, CD-ED provided many resources for skill development and knowledge building through interactive courses.
The HIM program has taught me about effective remote communication skills using emails, group chats and feedback channels. I have learned to clearly and accurately transmit my messages while translating received messages to achieve the goal and building collaboration (with the staff and other students).

I completed the HIM program and it was perfect! They have a great and supportive team of instructors. I can’t attest to its ability to help me find a job afterwards (though I know they have a great team for that and an endless amount of resources!) but I believe the knowledge I gained during this program really helped me get into medical school! They’re also super supportive of you individual circumstances and worked with me so I could finish the program early!

I recently completed the Health Information Management (HIM) program through the Centre for Distance Education (CD-ED), and I’m incredibly proud to have been part of this journey. As someone coming from a healthcare background and balancing work and family responsibilities, the fully online format was a perfect fit for my lifestyle.

The program is well-structured, industry-relevant, and aligned with CHIMA standards, which gave me the confidence and knowledge needed to pursue a career in the health information field. The instructors were supportive, responsive, and truly dedicated to student success. Even though the program was online, I always felt connected through the consistent communication and helpful feedback.
