Seems to have gone out of business. All their email addresses are dead.

My "experience" is only that I was searching online for editing work, and after finding Capstone, came across a piece in the Guardian detailing love-trial related attempted murder accusations about Lines, who was arrested last November (I can't include links here, but if you search her name on the Guardian site, you'll find the piece, and there seems to be much more of the same in the Australian press).

Their email addresses bounce, and their phone number seems to be dead. It's a bit strange that the site is still up! If any of the refugees from Capstone - Lines's former colleagues - happen to see this thread, it would be useful to know if they've set up under another name or something.

As far as I can see Capstone Editing is no longer in business. I had arranged to prepay for editing work with expiring funding. I have paid close to $3000 for thesis editing and have been unable to contact them by any methods listed on their website. Thesis is due now in less than two months, and I have no other funding available for editing.

The extra editing service was gold for me when I was in my final stages of my Thesis. The editor was thoroughly pedantic and was not only editing for syntax, understanding and spelling but also the suggested rearranging chapters for better flow. Taking five seperate chapters and making into one was also a big task for the formatting side of things and with over 60 appendix that had to be linked and renumbered - including complex tables, labelling diagrams in the correct format. I used Melissa, Bec and Zac and Capstone Editing to do a final pass over my PhD Dissertation following the initial draft submission. This was such a nerve wracking time as this was the culmination of 10 years of work.
