Today (after months) I received a letter from one of their lawyers, demanding £304 after I tried to contact them multiple times to cancel my account which was never cancelled, I have all the emails which I will show to my lawyer and the anti fraud, this site is just a scam it sucks

C date scam
I would just like to add to previous comment on here as I've just found out due to not being able to cancel and yous (cdate) still continuing with trying to take payments from my account that trading standards will now be getting informed of this scam company also under EU and UK law you have no jurisdiction as the company is in German t&d lawyers. Edit (I did try to cancel but it wouldn't exactly let me and by the looks f it this has happened to multiple people so I had no choice but to call my bank and Stop the payments also you do have a trial period which I tried cancelling before an actual payment came out when I realised what a sham it was but I'll be speaking to my solicitor tomorrow so

Hi, without your account info I obviously can't check the exact details, but you could have cancelled via a link on the home page. I don't know if you contacted customer service if you were having problems finding the link. However, if you've been contacted by an external agency about a debt then it would seem like you didn't contact customer service and you didn't pay or respond to the payment emails informing you that there was an outstanding payment. When a debt has been passed over you need to contact the agency if you want to discuss the case. Well myself after going on c-date and signing up for a free trial, I soon noticed this was just a bunch of cock and bull, a made up website to take advantage of people and thier hard earned money! The cancellation is pretty much an impossible task and the site will then try scare tactics with threatening letters from a debt collection agency. Well ok c-date you want to open a can of worms for yourself? Be my guest, I took on the u.k government 13 years ago, so a challenge to expose your whole infrastructure would be my pleasure!
One more letter from either c-date or collection agency's etc... relating to money you say I owe you.
Well then I will start the ball rolling from my end.
I have no so called agreement with any external agency.

This bunch of scammers after cancelling 2 months ago even with the so called registered email address with zero log in attempts after are trying to take more money from my account .beware do not even look at this site as its made impossible to get out of.the first bit of subscription I paid as I thought I missed something and put it down to a lesson learned but they have the cheek to try once more to take money. I am in the process of billing when they entered into a contract I stated they would enter when replying to my email for every communication I have to reply time is money i do not work for nothing and I will seek legally if not paid in full .in fact I will contact my bank /police and probably the fraud squad as this is a blatant attempt of extortion and theft on their behalf .
On answering they have once more been given the email address associated . And about to be invoiced for any correspondence via email other than it was shut 2 months ago like I asked

I cancelled my subscription in November 23 and still getting emails demanding payment. Otherwise it will be collected by debt agency. Keep asking for money despite not given permission to a premium-membership!
Since a year ago I'm having problems with this website.
I signed up for a free trial. After a few weeks I received an email thanking me for becoming a premium member and 191 euros had been debited from my credit card. I immediately sent an email requesting a refund and CANCELING my account. This was never responded to! I’ve had my credit card blocked to prevent further money from being withdrawn. Since March this year I have been receiving emails that I have to pay my overdue membership fee. This has now risen to 330 euros, even though I have not been on this website for a long time and HAVE NOT GIVEN PERMISSION to become a premium member.
Can you please stop this??

Update: I had contact directly with C-date and they guaranteed me the invoice was cancelled. Hope it stops now 🙌🏻

If the team didn't reply and you didn't get a confirmation of cancellation then it's unlikely the renewals were cancelled, customers should always re-contact the team if they don't get a cancellation confirmation. Absolute con-merchants operating a fraudulent and scam website. I stopped using this joke of a site on the 23rd of October 23 and sent an email requesting they cancel my account the same day. No reply from them and I have since received a threatening email from them stating that I owe circa £255, which will be collected by a debt agency. DO NOT threaten me with such fraudulent emails which do not stand up in a UK court of law in the future! I have reported these scammers to Trading Standards.

There also wasn't a reply from you when you were sent two payment reminders and as a result your debt has been passed to an external debt collection agency. Subsequently, 'real' men never had access to the 'real' me because I believe they never had access to my genuine profile. Men have been used as much as I have been. This company is a scam. They don’t let you leave then send a German debt collection company to chase you with threatening emails asking for money. I paid the three month subscription upfront then cancelled within a few weeks. They then set this debt collection company on me who tried to get me to send them £144 via a web link despite me having proof of my cancellation request. They are scammers and prey on vulnerable people. DO NOT USE.

One star is too good for this site. DO NOT sign up to this site, you won’t be able to cancel your membership and they will continue to take your monthly subscriptions. As soon as I realized I couldn’t cancel, I contacted my bank and canceled future payments. This is a Scam and everyone needs to report them to ncsc.gov.uk

I have tried to cancelled the membership so many times through email but they never cancelled. And i have been charged 150 pounds after 6 months.

STEER CLEAR - Shocking product that provides little , but gets very aggressive when you cancel your subscription, mentioning some small print clause & demanding more money . I thought I had been sent a scam email so did not respond & yet they still pursue an additional payment . Once you have cancelled your membership & don’t use the product again , then that should be enough.

I reported my issue with C-Date in November 2023 at Trustpilot; several times I have tried to cancel my membership last week of September 2023 but I couldn't and everytime I received "System Error" message from them. Since that time (end of September) I have never used this site.
They sent me below emails; it seems they continue threatening me. The penalty was just a few pounds but now they want me to pay GBP 255!!!
"We wish to hereby inform you that no payment has yet been received with regard to the above-mentioned claim matter.
Consequently, the outstanding claim will be entrusted to our contracted legal partners for the purpose of initiating appropriate legal measures.
We must emphasize that obtaining an enforcement order will allow for enforcement measures to be initiated against you over a duration spanning multiple years.
Such measures include, but are not limited to, enforcement of a bank account levy, wage garnishment and forceful disclosure of assets via affidavit. Any subsequent expenses arising on the basis of such measures being initiated are, in full legal accordance, to be borne by you. The currently outstanding claim sum total would thereby continue to increase.
In order to avoid the initiation of such measures, you may transfer the claim amounting to GBP 255.88 (EUR 298.76) by no later than 18.04.2024 to the following bank account:
Beneficiary: eCollect AG
Bank payments will only be accepted in: GB
As previously noted, transfers made without the corresponding payment reference "A21MKJ24" cannot be assigned.
