Poor Cleaning & Damage done

I joined Batmaid because I was super busy and decided to try and delegate cleaning my home. Signing up was easy, and I was encouraged when I could choose the option "always have the same maid". But that rarely if ever happened. I always had to readjust to a new maid. And that was the least of my issues. The cleaning quality was shotty at best. I often had to re-clean after them. In addition, I had one lady break a family heirloom after saying not to dust a shelf. I had another lady drag a chair across our floors and leave damage that Batmaid says the maid denied doing so, despite me having photographic proof and will not process the complaint. I went with Batmaid to try and save me headaches and stress to clean my home and instead I got more hassels then ever!

Horrendous cleaning

Horrendous cleaning. The maid did not clean my bedroom at all (most important room by far) and reacted defensively when questioned.

Previous cleanings showed me that 3h is more than enough for my flat, so saying it’s “too dirty, it’s your fault” is not a valid excuse.

This is the worst cleaning experience I’ve ever had and I can safely say I will not be using Batmaid in the future, I’ll look for other more reliable providers.

Very bad service

I booked a cleaning session with them, but the person never showed and the phone number that was emailed to me was not in use.

I called the helpdesk, the person told me they would check what happened and I was never contacted again, no explanation, and when I tried calling again no one would pick up.

I will never work with batmaid again.

Bad staff, bad customer service

We wanted to book our first Batmaid for a short cleaning and ironing. The cleaning lady texts us 3h before the appointment that she isn’t good in ironing and can’t do it (we paid for it!) and 1h before the appointment she calls us and says she can’t do ironing because she is pregnant….

The customer service is not available on the weekends so here we are, no service, no refund and just annoyed. First and last time we used Batmaid.

Dear Batmaid Team,

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service I have received. This is now the third time I have experienced serious issues with a cleaner who does not demonstrate the expected level of professionalism or competence. It is also the third time I have raised this matter with management.

On this most recent occasion, I was offered 30 minutes of free cleaning as compensation, which I declined. I did not raise my concerns in order to receive complimentary time. What I genuinely expect — and rely on — is a professional cleaner who knows how to properly do her job.

As a working professional, I do not have the time to clean my home myself. I specifically rely on professional service providers like Batmaid to ensure my home is cleaned thoroughly and correctly. Unfortunately, the level of service delivered has been a complete disappointment.

My husband and I both suffer from dust allergies, yet there was dust left throughout the apartment. I had to repeatedly instruct the cleaner to wipe tables, take out the trash, and even clean the base of the dining chairs — tasks that should be standard in a professional cleaning service and should not require supervision.

After three similar experiences and three complaints, this pattern is deeply concerning. I would appreciate a clear explanation of how Batmaid intends to ensure proper quality control and prevent this from happening again.

Poor cleaning

We'e used this company for years but the quality of the cleaning has always been very poor. After the cleaning, the surfaces still have dust and there are dirty spots on the floor. The cleaning is very superficial any dirty spot that is slightly more challenging remains uncleaned. I have also witnessed many cleaners staying shorter time that we have booked...honestly, the only reason we are keeping this company is because of the flexibility (if one person is not available, they send someone else). But we are currently checking other companies.

Scheduling is terribile

Cleaners generally did a good job, but the company itself is terrible. They frequently made mistakes when in bookings, cleaners showing up on the wrong days, cleaners not being told about cancelled cleanings, not following through on clear agreements to update the schedule. We cancelled the service this year after the last 12 months were particularly bad.

I booked a cleaner and was spammed with enthusiastic emails about the wonderful experience I would have. Unfortunately, on the designated day and time, there was no show. While customer service was friendly and responsive, it was ultimately all talk and no show and left me disappointed and in a bind.

Left High and Dry 4/5 times

I have booked 5 cleaning sessions with Batmaid, only 1 has actually gone ahead. Either the cleaners don't show up or Batmaid has cancelled. Most recently on Christmas Eve, the cleaner just didn't turn up with no communication and after accepting the job - my Christmas ruined. On the phone Batmaid offered me 4.5hrs cleaning as an apology and then went back on it by email. They're unreliable, which is worse than cancellation

It was the worst cleaning experience…

It was the worst cleaning experience I’ve ever had.
The cleaning lady was vacuuming for 2,5hrs and didn't manage to clean the floor in most of the areas. She was so slow, and had no energy. She dropped my Dyson vacuum, and didn't manage to wipe any dust from any furnitures. I was so disappointed that I decided to cancel the next cleaning and then I discovered, you have to pay 20chf for cancellation!!!! That is ridiculous!!!! I have to pay for being left myself with the flat cleaning. AVOID
EDIT: After my cancelation, they scheduled cleaning once again, and now I have to pay 20chf again for the second cancellation. They are not picking up the phone. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Thanks César and Batmaid!

I had the pleasure of having César Martín Guadalupe clean my apartment last night and I couldn’t be more impressed. He did an excellent job, everything was spotless, and he even went above and beyond what I expected. I was really pleased with the results.

César was also kind and professional throughout, with a genuinely nice personality that made the experience even better. I would happily recommend him to others.

Many thanks as well to the Batmaid team for their flexibility and human touch when handling my booking. It’s much appreciated.

I am really disappointed with Batmaid

I am really disappointed with Batmaid. The online booking was very easy, which gave me a good first impression. I ordered a 4-hour cleaning for my end-of-lease move-out. The apartment was practically empty, so cleaning should have been straightforward.

Unfortunately, the cleaner sent was absolutely not suited for this job. She worked very slowly and the result was extremely poor. Dust was left inside the wardrobes, on the windows, corners were not done, and the bathroom was really poorly cleaned. I believe the lady tried her best, but she is simply not suitable for this kind of work — the real issue is Batmaid’s very bad selection of employees. Despite a small help with some embellishment for my departure, the actual cleaning was unacceptable.

In the end, I had to hire another cleaner outside of Batmaid to redo everything properly. For a professional service, this is really not what I expected. My rating: 2/10.
