Avoid Backmarket Australia. I had a negative experience with them. I ordered two items, one of which was incorrectly advertised. They offered a replacement, but it turned out to be out-of-stock. Their responses take 24-48 hours, dragging the transaction out for over a week. I requested the entire order to be cancelled, but they only refunded one item—and not in full—while still sending the other. Backmarket may seem cheap, but in reality, it's overpriced for the experience and product you get. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Brought iPhone 12 Pro max September 2024
It heats up so much that you can’t hold it,also has trouble with touch screen not opening apps or back arrow not functioning correctly
They suggested turning off apps and adjust display light. Done that still the same. No response back.phone was sold by cellmate W.A ,Buyers be aware phones are obviously not checked and you can expect backmarket not to honour their 30 day money back or replacement guarantee

Purchased an iPhone 7 in May 2024. Worked well for a couple of months but the battery was down to 60% max capacity within 3 months. Backmarket said I could send it back for repair but who would trust that their personal info would remain confidential?. I requested they pay for me to replace the battery (£25 at a local repair shop) but they refused unless the battery was ‘swollen’. Turns out the battery they provided was made in 2016 so was never going to last long. Not impressed.

I've ordered 3 phones from backmarket all in "good" condition after the past 2 years... They've all been great! The most recent was 2 months ago.
Battery's all work well, screens in good condition, working cameras.

Ordered a flip 5 excellent grade (live life on the edge). Two tiny dings 1mm so I guess that's nearly fair. Most important thing is 3rd party websites just enabling smaller business selling refurbed phones. I don't like that they are not honest about this and pretend they have techs working for them. If I knew at the time, I wouldn't have gone with them. I spent a lot of money and thats probably why my phone is okay.

Bought a great MacBook Air from this company. Was apprehensive about buying one listed as ‘fine’ there are a few dinges but so much better than I’d imagined (not sure what I was expecting)! Dispatch was so quick and packaged well. Have recommended to many people since.

My first phones where okay by that time, got some issues but i mean it was used. But from time to time it got worse, fake battery, kamera isnt working (time lapse, slow mo), the front display was super bad attached so that there was dust on the inside kamera. Now im travelling arround the world with a not propper working phone, i even bought the highest rating class and it still got so many issues, after not even a year i cannot use the phone more then 4 hours before the battery is empty. They told me i can sent it back in australia, now im in australia and ive been told "Sorry perth is located in EU australia, we dont serve this region". Getting worse with this website since they dont sell the phones, its a third part company.

Super fast postage. Phone came in perfect condition, wouldn't even know it was refurbished. Full battery capacity and not a single defect. I was so nervous because this was my first refurbished phone and i did see a couple of negative reviews about the supplier itself but it was a fantastic experience im extremely happy with my phone and the warranty really gives you piece of mind that if anything went wrong in the future your covered. Super happy

Delivered in good time and packaged well. The phone had a tiny, tiny mark on one edge and a very faint scratch on the screen which could only be seen when the phone was held in a particular way. Both matters are invisible now a glass screen and phone case are in place so it looks immaculate. The battery is 100% and the phone is operating perfectly. When I need another phone I will buy again from Backmarket and can happily recommend them to anyone considering their products.

My Galaxy S20 FE 5G was delivered to my door the day after I ordered it, 24hrs and 20mns to be exact! Unbelievable?.. well so was its condition. I paid a little extra for the 'good' condition. The other option, 'excellent' was not available at the time but what I received could only be described as 'out of the box brand new'... not a scratch or blemish on it and after boot-up and installation, it has operated perfectly since. All this for the best price I could find on the net.
Too soon to report on battery life but it seems to last well between charges. Thanks guys.

We purchased 4 iphones 3 months ago to start replacing current phones when they start to fail. The first one they sent me an earlier model and colour, which we returned I go a refund, The Second has been in use for about 2 months a iPhone 14 drops in and out, and sound also is unreliable. The 3rd one a Iphone 11 drops in and out when talking to anyone, people are only hearing the occasional word. And the 4th one, well it is still in the cupboard waiting for to be used and going by the others will have problems. We paid over $3,000 for the 4 phones, and seem to be all duds. Will have to buy brand new to replace them, refurbished cannot be trusted.

Ordered a ‘excellent’ grade iPad and got sent one covered in dents and scracthes also had a strange white residue over it that came off so easy which makes me think it wasn’t even wiped. Had it plugged in for hours and it won’t fully charge. I was offered a $80 refund multiple times but then I got $76 and was told I could have the rest as a store credit? Would not waste your money there is far better company’s out there.

$15 for express postage but they only send via express wether you pay the extra or not so you’re better off choosing the free one

The phone is great and I would definitely recommend back market for any product you need refurbished. ive used the phone for more than a month an its been great the price is amazing aswell. The package also arrived earlier than expected.

Asked for address to be updated immediately after order. Guess what, they told me they have asked the seller to update it. Three days later the parcel could not be delivered immediately.

You cannot speak with the seller, only speaking to a bunch of overseas customer services people who only work at midnight and answer like robots.

Now two weeks gone but the parcel got stuck and status has not been changed. I am neither getting what i paid for nor refund back.

Please refrain from buying from this website.
