Quick to respond to phone calls and friendly polite staff.

They have been very good all the way throughout a very difficult time but have been there and got everything sorted for me

I can highly recommend this company. I used the branch in Bredbury when selling my house. I always received a quick and professional response to my requests, even when my solicitor was on annual leave. I was completely satisfied with the overall service.

Alex Tarling helped me to complete what proved to be a complicated and challenging sale of my flat. It felt like we were made to jump through a lot of hoops but Alex helped me to navigate these. She gave me sound advice throughout the process and at times had to manage my frustrations with the process. Alex has now helped me and my wife on a number of sales/purchases and has always done an excellent job. I know other staff at Alfred Newton were involved at points and were also very helpful and friendly.

Zoe and her team were really very efficient and made the whole process quick and easy.
Great communication throughout, certainly recommend them to friends and family.

We recently used Alfred Newton for our move. Both the sale of our property and the purchase of our new property. We used Holly Penman at their Romiley branch.

While our initial contact with them was pleasant we found the process overly tiring and stressful. We had to continually chase them for answers to questions that we had raised. We often found that there was delay in raising these questions with our vendors

The communication with Holly wasn’t great. We found Helen to be a bit rude and direct. But Holly herself was very pleasent to deal with.

Ultimately the process was delayed because of an oversight on our application with my wife’s middle names. The mortgage lender was very surprised that this wasn’t picked up by the solicitors earlier.

Also on the day of exchange it was very difficult to contact Holly, often on an 90 mins lunch break. Exchange happened late Friday afternoon, completion the following Monday. There was no confirmation email or conversation with Holly when the exchange happened. We felt very much they didn’t want to deal with us personally

The completion day ran very smoothly.

We also found out 2 months after we moved that they had failed to pay us £100 which was agreed by our buyers for the purchase of some wardrobes.

Overall well felt Alfred Newton could have done better. We would not recommend and would not use again

It's been a brilliant experience with alfred Newton,, the process has been first class from start to finnish,,, moving is so stressful, but alfred Newton and the whole team have made the legal side of things, perfect ,, we can not thank you enough,,
