My experience with Akkodis/Adecco was extremely disappointing, particularly in relation to the way my employment ended.
After several years with the Akkodis, I was made redundant following a consultation process that, in my experience, did not provide a meaningful opportunity to explore alternatives to redundancy. The consultation meetings were extremely brief, and questions I raised were repeatedly deferred or left unanswered, both during the consultation period and after my employment ended.
I had to follow up with Adecco HR to obtain my at-risk redundancy letter, which was not provided to me proactively when I expected it. Even then, the password required to access the document was not supplied. Communication between management and Adecco HR was also frustrating, as questions were frequently referred from one to the other rather than being answered directly.
I was particularly concerned by inconsistencies between what I recall being discussed during meetings and what was subsequently recorded in formal correspondence. Documents referred to discussions and reviews of redeployment opportunities that, in my recollection, had not taken place as described. Despite repeatedly requesting clarification and supporting information, I did not receive complete answers to several of my questions.
An internal opportunity remained unresolved when my redundancy was confirmed, and I was not informed of the outcome before the redundancy proceeded. This raised further concerns for me about whether suitable alternative employment had been fully and fairly considered.
The difficulties continued after my employment ended. I experienced delays and had to follow up on basic employment documentation, including payslips, my P45 and clarification of my holiday pay calculation. This created avoidable uncertainty at a time when I was already dealing with the financial implications of redundancy.
More broadly, during my years with the company, I found management engagement to be limited. As an engineer working on client projects, meaningful contact with management was rare unless an operational issue arose. In my experience, regular communication, career development and ongoing employee support were lacking.
I have since referred the matter to ACAS, as I remain concerned about the fairness and transparency of the redundancy process and the handling of my post-employment queries. Currently preparing Employment Tribunal case. Even for this, I requested few thing Adecco HR to confirm last week and yet to do so; even the UK law requires them to do so.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Akkodis/Adecco as an employer. I would encourage prospective employees to ask clear questions about management support, career development, redeployment and how redundancy procedures are handled before joining.

Worse ever get accused of not turning up for your shift ever know you are on site then accused for turning up late for shift even your hour are sent through to you by email you can only go by the shift hours they send though to you then because of that they end your assignment completely what sort of agency is

Hazel and Anna at Adecco helped me to secure my perfect part-time role, arranged an interview and handled the process through to permanent contract. Thank you for your support and professionalism. I would highly recommend Adecco!

My experience with Adecco’s recruitment process has been extremely disappointing. The increasing reliance on AI appears to have removed much of the human interaction that should be fundamental to recruitment.
Each time you apply, you seem to be faced with another AI-led assessment: answering questions to a system rather than having a meaningful conversation with an experienced recruiter who can understand your background, challenge your answers, ask follow-up questions and properly assess whether you are suitable for the role.
There is little to no meaningful feedback when you are unsuccessful, no explanation of where you fell short, and no constructive guidance on how you could improve. Candidates are effectively left answering questions to an algorithm without knowing how accurately or intelligently that system is actually assessing their experience.
I have personally gone through this process despite having strong, directly relevant experience, and it leaves you questioning how many other excellent candidates are being screened out before ever having a genuine conversation with a recruiter.
AI should make recruiters better at their jobs; it should not replace recruitment itself. In my experience, this approach feels like lazy, automated recruitment rather than professional candidate assessment.
For prospective candidates, and particularly organisations considering Adecco to represent their business and attract high-quality talent, I would seriously consider whether this is the recruitment experience you want associated with your organisation.

I’ve just accepted a new job through Adecco, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The whole process was quick, smooth and incredibly efficient from start to finish.
A special thank you to Clare, the Senior Recruitment Consultant, who was absolutely brilliant throughout the process. She was professional, supportive and always there to help, especially when I had concerns or questions.
I really needed another opportunity, and given how challenging the job market is at the moment, I was understandably worried about how long it might take. Clare made the whole experience feel so much easier and helped me secure a fantastic role remarkably quickly.
I’m genuinely grateful for all her support and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Thank you, Clare, and thank you Adecco!

Amazing agency! Recently been made redundant unexpectedly and opened the flood doors of anxiety and panic but then a special mention to Anna, calls me and gets me straight into a job! Couldnt thank her enough, truely a gem!

I have never felt so ignored by a company.
Emails went unanswered, promised callbacks never came, and the job was cancelled without anyone telling me. I only found out by chance. The communication was the worst I have experienced from any employer or agency.
The handling of my personal data was equally concerning. I went through a DBS check and was never given an outcome or an explanation. On top of that, my account was deactivated without notice, so I cannot even log in to see my own information.
I came into this in good faith and was left completely in the dark. A genuinely upsetting experience, and one I would warn others about.

Mags (Magdalena Tomasik), what can I say it has been an absolute pleasure, this lady called me over a week ago with a job I had applied for, within a week I had my interview and then got offered the job. Mags, not only are you great at what you do, but you’re personable! You have gone above and beyond to get such a quick turnaround. Mags, again, thank you!

The guy I just spoke to was completely unhelpful and rude. Sounded like an AI bot the way he was being, completely soulless... Unbelievable and very odd.

My consultant, Laura Swords, was excellent. She helped me with everything. I can't recommended her highly enough.

I’m currently on my first assignment, and I’m really happy with the service I’ve received from the Adecco Romford branch.
The team has been amazing throughout the whole process — friendly, helpful, supportive, and always keeping me updated. They really put me at ease and made the whole experience so much easier.
I would definitely recommend Adecco to anyone looking for work, and I especially want to thank Sabrina Bigby and Laura Swords, who have both been absolutely amazing. Thank you both for helping me secure a job that will give my career the kick-start it needs.
You are both absolute gems! 💎
Many thanks to you both for all your help and support. ❤️

Wildly incompetent, even for recruiters. Ceaseless issues, fluctuations in pay, tax documents incorrectly filled out/not filed properly, slow response times and poor customer service.

Laura & Sabrina was great from start to finish, they kept me updated on everything without having to chase up.

About the worst recruiter I have ever dealt with. Like many, they have closed offices and consolidated to a central office miles away. Their staff do not have a clue and just go through the motions. They get all worked up about faddy nonsense like diversity and woe betide you, if you complain about their sloppy service. Check their staff qualifications and they mostly hold comedy degrees or A-levels, so they send the same candidates to work in the same old way. Age discrimination is absolutely fine for them, because most of them are dim. Rubbish and any employer using them probably is not worth working for.
The response below is typical of the attitude I have had to deal with from Adecco. They know they are in flagrant breach of the Equalities Act, yet they trot out their denials and their commitment to “fair treatment” when they know it not to be true. They are unable to justify their behaviour in the AI response you, however many times you question it.
They simply do not listen and prefer their agendas - basically putting up safe candidates to the end employers for the fee - to actual looking for the best candidates. They are steeped in DEI and current news shows where that ends, but this sloppy approach is good enough for them
Check their qualifications on LinkedIn for comedy degrees and what passes for A-levels these days. They simply do not have a clue.
I have written back, demonstrating why their reply of February 26 did not address the issues and asking for a detailed response.
