I have a Family in Europe and 2 kids,I find this PayPal Transaction system far easier than my old way through banking and other currency money transferer offices.
It is a 5 star means.

I don't like your new outlook..why change the format? Its not the same .doesn't show you what your sending in other currency until you send your own.and doesnt recognise other email addresses?

Initially I made the error of ordering the wrong part but, even before it was delivered they managed to cancel the delivery , sorted out the correct part needed , adjusted the price , confirmed the new part was what I required ( yes I had missed off one number) again they corrected ,confirmed all was ok ,then proceeded with the new order . Such customer care deserves 6 stars
PayPal Has No Complaints Procedure. None. Just Stonewalling.
I submitted a formal written complaint to PayPal about a misdescribed order purchased through PayPal Credit. Instead of addressing any of the points, PayPal simply repeated the same line: “provide a tracking number.” They ignored the complaint entirely.
When I asked for escalation details, the agent gave me a generic enquiries email — not a complaints address. When I tried the official complaints email, it bounced. PayPal UK Ltd is FCA‑regulated, yet they do not appear to have a functioning complaints procedure at all.
They closed my case without allowing an appeal, removed the ability to upload tracking information, and now insist I provide tracking for a return label that was never issued. This is not dispute resolution — it’s stonewalling behind a broken system.
PayPal is refusing to follow basic consumer protection rules, refusing to acknowledge complaints, and refusing to provide escalation routes. Avoid relying on PayPal for buyer protection. It simply does not exist.
PayPal returned £1,200 to the buyer…
PayPal returned £1,200 to the buyer despite telling me the case was in my favour
The buyer received the service I provided. Months later, the buyer disputed the payment through PayPal. I submitted evidence showing that the service had been provided.
PayPal then emailed me confirming that the case was decided IN MY FAVOUR. PayPal also confirmed that the transaction was **eligible for Seller Protection **.
However, the money PayPal had placed on hold was never released back to me.
When I contacted PayPal about getting my money released, I was told I needed to pay £71.30 because my account had a negative balance. I could not understand why I was being asked to add more money to my PayPal account while I was still waiting for approximately £1,200 to be returned.
I called PayPal again and was then told that the approximately £1,200 had actually been sent back to the buyer.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. How can PayPal tell me in writing that the case was decided in my favour and that the transaction was eligible for Seller Protection, but then return the money to the buyer?
I have spent hours trying to get a clear explanation and to get my money returned. The customer service has been extremely disappointing, and I have received conflicting information from different representatives.
I used to have confidence in PayPal, but after this experience I have lost trust in the company. I simply want PayPal to honour the decision it communicated to me and return my money.
Recommendation for PayPal
I like using PayPal because it is a secure way of paying firms/people without using your Bank Account or card details each time you pay.
PayPal are also very good at settling disputes.
I have used PayPal for years and am happy to recommend them as a secure way of payment.
Very handy and trusted service
I Followed PayPal’s Advice From the Start — They Ended Up Sending Me to Debt Collection!!
Absolutely appalling experience with PayPal.
All my PayPal payments had always been made on time. I had never simply stopped paying or allowed the account to fall into arrears. The debt collection and adverse credit reporting only arose after I followed PayPal’s own advice in trying to resolve this disputed transaction.
Our booked flights were cancelled and we were moved onto different flights without being consulted or agreeing to the change. When the merchant initially refused a refund, I contacted PayPal for help. PayPal advised me to raise a dispute through their dispute process, which I did. PayPal then found the dispute in the merchant’s favour.
We then pursued the merchant ourselves. The merchant subsequently confirmed that a refund was due and that they had received the money back from the airline, but said they could not refund us because of the PayPal dispute — despite PayPal having already closed it in the merchant’s favour.
I went back to PayPal and explained the situation. PayPal advised me to contact my bank and raise a chargeback. Again, I followed PayPal’s advice. My bank investigated the matter and found in my favour.
Instead of the matter being resolved, PayPal then treated the Pay Later balance as overdue.
When I contacted PayPal again to understand why the balance was showing as overdue despite having followed their advice, their customer service representative changed the reason for the dispute and re-submitted it with further evidence for review and reconsideration, including evidence that the merchant had agreed to issue the refund and had received the money back from the airline.
Despite this, the amended dispute and additional evidence appear to have been ignored. Instead of PayPal resolving the matter, I have been left going back and forth between PayPal, the debt collection agency and the merchant, trying to sort this out myself, while the account has been reported as delinquent on my credit file.
I also made a formal complaint to PayPal, but this still did not resolve the situation. After five months of trying to resolve this, I have now had no option but to refer my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
This situation has been going on since April and, five months later, it is still not resolved.
What exactly is the point of PayPal buyer protection if a customer makes their payments on time, asks PayPal for help, follows the processes PayPal tells them to follow, provides evidence that a refund is due, and ultimately ends up facing debt collection and adverse credit reporting?
Completely unacceptable customer service and dispute handling.

The money I was hoping to send to a colleague is been taken from my bank account BUT, PayPal has not delivered it. Do I get my money sent back to myself? Is the $50 going to reach its destination? Is PayPal going to keep it?
Please let me know what is happening before I make my own assumption.

Absolutely appalling
Absolutely appalling. I’ve been using PayPal for so many years. But, there’s a £150 that they’ve been withdrawing and refunding constantly since 7th August. Customer service is useless as they just repeat the same response. Resolution Centre also unhelpful. After around 20 years, I’ll never use PayPal again.
Support is unhelpful and the Credit repayment system is bad
I keep getting bad experiences with PayPal Credit but this time I am absolutely furious. I have 2 separate purchases AE and Sam where only the AE had a 0% interest 24m plan while the Sam is just on the regular 4 months 0% interest.
I had a chat with their support to ask for when to make a manual payment to go to the Sam purchasse, did that exactly as advised and surprise, the payment went to AE instead.
Contacted them a month ago and as of today i still don't have a resolution, although they promised a reimbursement and reversing my AE plan as it was.
They also setup a payment schedule at my request to go monthly to the Sam purchase, but guess what, this month the payment went towards the wrong purchase again, AE, so now the AE purchase is paid off way ahead of time.
I contacted them again today as i did not wanted the AE purchase paid off who had a nice payment plan setup etc... and i am left now with a huge Sam purchase that has no plan, meaning i will most likely start paying a lot of interest if i don't close it within 4 months.
I was told to wait for the statement and that the issue has been resolved, although nothing has been resolved, i did not get any reimbursement and the scheduled payment also went to the wrong purchase. An absolute shame of a system they have, either that or maybe not enough training for the support to do the job properly.
I am waiting to finish this credit and i will not be using this service ever again, or PayPal in general.
