Rude phone manner and patronising staff
Merlin were brusque and generally rude with me when I phoned to ask about an order which should have arrived by that point.
Even the manner in which Steve answered the phone was dismissive and unfriendly.
I honestly was just matter of fact in my call and was told to 'be patient'. There was no acknowledgement or apology for the delay or even for not having contacted me to let me know there would be a delay.
When I eMailed them and said, again in a very bland and factual way, about my negative experience, they simply didn't care. One of their staff even tried to patronise and 'guilt trip' me by saying about people having things going on in their lives.
It's not a shop I plan to use in the future.
