Rakuten Rewards is a Cash Back website that pays users for shopping at select stores. We are one of the biggest Cash Back companies in the world, and we have been making the e-shopping experience more enjoyable since 1997. How does Rakuten work?
Getting Cash Back rewards from Rakuten is easy. Simply sign up for a free account, and then start shopping on the Rakuten website, through the Rakuten app, or by downloading the Rakuten browser extension. Money gets added to your Cash Back balance when you shop at an affiliate store. You can then get paid via PayPal or check. If it seems too good to be true, here’s how it works: Companies in Rakuten’s affiliate network pay us commissions whenever one of our members shops with them, and we share those commissions with you as Cash Back.

What stores can you shop at?
Many stores and companies are part of the Rakuten affiliate network, from big-box stores such as Target and Walmart to websites such as Hotels.com and Upwork.com. Rakuten is expanding to all sorts of businesses so you can make money while eating at restaurants, planning trips, and fixing your car. Download the browser extension, Rakuten Cash Back Button, if you want to stay up to date on all the stores you can earn Cash Back with. It will highlight available offers in search results and alert you to store sites that are part of the affiliate network.
When will I get Cash Back?
Rakuten members get their earned Cash Back every three months. Stores will verify with us that the order was complete when you purchase with them, which can take a few hours to a few days, depending on the store. Once the purchase is verified, we’ll let you know Cash Back has been added to your account. Any order that’s still pending on payday will be added to the next payment cycle.

Bought a Herman Miller chair with 10% cash back and never received it. After emailing proof of purchase Rakuten closed my case stating I never made the purchase. It was my first time using it and my last.

Simple Free & Easy way to get cash back from purchases
I have used Rakuten for years and find it a fantastic way to get money back from items I buy. I save the money in a special account I call “mad money” that I allow myself to purchase items I don’t need but want. I even took a small trip with money I had saved in my mad money account from Rakuten. I joined it many years ago when it was called Ebates. Try it you have nothing to lose. It is FREE and in today’s economy a smart way to get a little money back from purchasing items you purchase anyway.

Rakuten has been great
Rakuten has been great. The savings they offer are wonderful. I would though like to see more involvement with veterans in my opinion. The other it would be wonderful if Rakuten would notify customers when their accounts are available for raising his or her credit availability instead of saying we review it all the time and we will let you know if we decide.

Money real, Pop-ups annoying
I've been using Rakuten for years. Pay outs are tiny, but real. My only complaint is the constant pop-ups they deliver. If I'm buying something on Amazon, they pop-up saying item is cheaper on some website I never heard of. Unfortunately they don't factor in the free shipping of Prime. Wish they would at least wait until I put something in my cart before popping up. With JCP they start running through and testing multiple Promo Codes. Unfortunately even the working ones are usually worse then the Promo code the store sent me. Worse pop-ups are ones notifying me store no longer participates. But I'll keep using Rakuten because if I'm buying something anyway, I might as well get a few dimes back.

Free money Baby ! What else can I say? Free & easy to sign up for the RAK! No fees ever! If you are purchasing products online please sign up. I have gotten 1% - 15% back on purchases. Mostly it's 1% - 3%. Companies will have specials rates at times that run higher. I got 10% back on a JBL bluetooth speaker. You're getting 1%-3% back on your credit card? Now boost that with 1% - 3% (or higher) from Rakuten. Oh, if something is on sale no Cash back. You already saved : ( . I do not buy food online, so I don't know about that.
