Just completed my last ever shop with Asda. I forgot to scan my card for points and realised Asda does not allow you to manually scan your receipt from home. Clearly failing the customer so I will do... See more

Poor shopping experience
Every time I do a shop online the price goes up on most products and not only that 30 out of 90 items are unavailable not a very reliable place to shop .
I used the shopand go
I used the shopand go, but the scanner didnt scan, when I took it to customer services a staff member asked "did you replace it and get another?" I confirmed I had, again she ask.ed "did you put it in and reset it?" so I said "I put it into the slot and put my details in as I had before, and again it said "account already in use" she went on "did you reset it? YOU need to go round, put it in the slot and press that" indicating to the button used to scan bar codes. How am I mean t to know? I am not stupid but I felt it after the manner I was spoken to. I felt she thought I should know fully what to do. I left it there. I have mobility and pain isues due to hav ing myelopathy. Maybe I should have remered to wear my hidden disabilities lanyard. Ill try to remember next time
Absolutely terrible..
Absolutely terrible... I ordered shopping between 2 and 3pm it arrived early and we wasnt home as the person I ordered it for has a care package and carers wait in for the shopping specifically at that time. So now he has no shopping, and there like we can arrange redelivery for today when it its no use when the carers are there between 2pm and 3pm!!
Awful
Awful. Just awful. Don't bother with them is my advice.
I ordered some things from Asda George online. I chose home delivery and paid for this on top of the £145 I spent with the items. I chose home delivery specifically because it is so much easier with having two young children, not having to go out and collect. Anyway, no communication was given to me regarding parcel 1 of 2 being diverted to an Inpost locker - for what reason, I still don't know. I told customer service of this but they gave me no answer.
I only knew of this because I checked my Inpost app regarding a different parcel collection and saw Asda George waiting to be collected. Anyway, I collected my parcel and straight away could see it was badly damaged, I lifted it from the locker and heard broken glass immediately. All of the glass items were SO poorly packaged....I couldn't believe it. It was that really cheap flimsy paper wrap that they'd put around 2 large vases and some glasses. It's not a surprise they'd smashed completely, especially with how delivery drivers handle things these days.
I found it VERY difficult to get any decent response from Asda Customer Service. It was almost like they didn't want me to have a refund at all. They wanted me to handle the smashed glass. They said they would initiate a return or the items and someone would come to collect. No email has come to me in regard of this. This phone call took 40 minutes. The person on the other end obviously had no customer service empathy, complete lack of.
I will be asking for a chargeback via my credit card. It's no wonder no one shops here anymore. I will definitely be avoiding here and shopping online elsewhere. Asda, you're losing customers left right and centre it seems.
They don’t sell flipz
Asda could at least say sorry.
We had driven from Woodall Spa on our way home to near Skipton. We were passing through Knaresborough and needed fuel. We visited Asda and topped up with enough petrol to get home. I collected a few items on the way to the checkout and paid. I was a little weary and realised something was wrong so asked for a receipt. It was wrong. It showed diesel for £60.01 and I had got petrol £25.41. It was quiried with another employee who at first seemed to think I was wrong when a lady next to us said I can't pay for my diesel on a self pay checkout. The girl on my till said I pressed the wrong pump.
The man or girl never said sorry. He said put your card in and I will make a refund. I did as requested. I checked my bank app. and the guy said it may take some time to go through. I checked when I got home and I had been charged again.
Rang the store and spoke to the acting manager. He said he could do nothing as he didn't have the knowledge and the manager would ring me in the morning after initially saying I had to go back in the morning. I don't think so, not from near Skipton. Good job I was not too weary to realise something was wrong. I will never use Asda again!
That was yesterday and I waited with my phone all morning but never got the call back so filled in a customer review form online. To finish and send it they were to email me to get confirmation that it was me filling in the form. I never got the email so rang H. O. and the staff member was unable to understand the problem as though robbing a customer of £70 odd pounds was normal, maybe is for a company with massive debt. He was to put me through to the store but I got Asda Harrogate who insisted I told him the problem. He said I don't know nothing about it and cut me off. The second call to H. O. complaints department said she would put me through to Knaresborough but she came back to say she had tried twice but got no answer. Probably had the phone cut off.
No wonder Asda are in a massive debt problem. The challenge now is to get £69.04 from them as my car will not hold that much fuel.
Only shop here if you are rich.
Super expensive, why would I pay a fortune for products and items that are not made to last and are not even good at all? It is ridiculous I wouldn’t buy anything from Asda again why is a bed sheet £10 for 100% cotton ones but like £3 for the terrible polyester ones.
Delivery order problems
My delivery was super late and I’ve never had so many substitutions for items… not acceptable and not the first time this has happened in last few months
Lots of choice.
I visit Asda's Chadderton store 2 or 3 times a week to do a basket shop. The main issue I have with them, is that their mobile rewards app, has only worked for 3 weeks out of the last 9 months.
Cheaters and Liars
I bought some hiball glasses 32 days ago and went to Hounslow Asda to return them.
They refused to accept the return stating this was for clothes only, despite me showing them their own website where it clearly stated that George Home products are returnable within 100 days. This was NOT in the exclusions list of George Home products.
When asked to speak to the Manager, was told that they were in a meeting and would not be coming out.
The clydebank store is a mess
The clydebank store is a mess, depends on what time you shop determines how stocked the shelves are, the bakery sections the shelves are a mess and not stocked at 9am. They can't even put the newspapers out in the morning either. The store is run on the cheap with them running the store under budget so the store/area managers get bigger bonuses.
Awful experience
Horrible service and no way to complain. Customer service are not helpful. Purchased plus for trousers for my son for school that they for some reason don’t stock in store. Ordered in time for back to school for click and collect to bicester petrol station that was nearest but still 15minutes away. Went to collect, man said it hasn’t been delivered asda always do this. I had driven from a different town. He said come back another day even though asda said order was ready! Sent my son to school on his first day in joggers and went today to Collect and the man said he had a parcel but it had one name that wasn’t mine but asda had sent me a message to say it’s ready 4 days before school started. Another 30 minutes trip wasted! Called customer services who lied and said they would refund and give me a £5 voucher to order for next day to home. Never received the voucher had to double check they refunded the missing order which he didn’t. Made me add my card details to my account then he refund and I got the email straight away. When queried about the voucher he said it’s been sent but still no email. I really need these trousers but Asda are not worth the custom. They do not put customers first and do not care for trouble customers go to for their incompetence. Customer service is awful. I wish I could get these plus fit trousers elsewhere or they stocked them in n store as I don’t have an asda in my area. Will not be shopping here again! Either asda got my name wrong on the parcel or they never delivered it! Wasted time and petrol and still no school trousers!
Asda reward scheme is RUBBISH
Asda reward scheme is absolutely rubbish. I have a local Asda store ( a decent size store ) I shop there often and despite all my shopping my reward is Zero. Or I find out my rewards are out of date.
Bloody rubbish system of rewarding customers ( or not rewarding customers) needs scrapping and re-thinking because all it does is annoying and frustrate your customers.
The barcode on the phone works but why can't it automatically discount loyalty at the till without fumbled attemps on the phone trying to apply a code or a voucher at the till whilst customers what behind you waiting to be served. IT REALLY IS RUBBISH !
Asda Shrewsbury avoid car wash & vacuum
Furious just used the car wash at Asda Shrewsbury - not working suspect £5 on nothing !! Staff aware there was an issue and unable to refund as you have to contact a third party - absolutely crap ! Taking people’s money for something they know is not working !!! It’s on your premises sort it out Asda !!!
Brilliant, friendly service
I ordered Peruvian currency from the Derby branch for a 60th birthday trip, having been badly let down the day before we left by a travel money company in the town centre. Millie and Becky went out of their way to keep me informed about the money's progress as it was being delivered the morning of my departure. They were efficient, friendly and real lifesavers! Thanks!
Non Food Stock Failure
Two items missing from my order today and both non food items.
Anti perspirant and toilet rolls.
ASDA continue to struggle to maintain stock of non food items.
WHY?
Get you act together ASDA!
Asda and I will be parting ways
I have shopped at Asda for decades and I now dread going, there is a group of staff that act like it's their shop, they yell across you to other staff, if you are disabled you now have to collect snd return the scooter key to the customer service desk ( it used to be kept at the security station ) this means that you have to park the scooter at the main door and walk back to customer service. If you have shopping in the scooter you either have to leave it unattended whilst you go to the desk, if there is a long queue your shopping is at risk, if you can carry 4 bags over to the desk and back out to your car it's likely you don't need the scooter, the security guard I asked to take the key from me was so unfriendly and reluctantly took the key, I hope she never needs help with mobility, the bakery is awful compared to how it was, there is hardly anything baked in store now, it's all brought in and, it's dearer, the new fridge doors are so annoying, often it is not possible to get through due to doors being opened and people passing hence people can't move they have a halal deli but non halal is all packed and processed, the clothing section is minimal and very little choice, there are few staff on the floor apart from kids picking online orders they can't be bothered to take you to items like how it was in the past, staff around the trolley check out and card only area can often be heard moaning and talking about other staff, they are short staffed and the staff are showing the strain, I really don't like going but other supermarkets are far away. I don't enjoy it at all, i will probably stop going when something else goes wrong.
Strong bags
Dragged your carrier bag 1 mile across the floor to get home, it arrived in one piece! Blown away. Would recommend
Just had to clean all my click and…
Just had to clean all my click and collect order after it being thrown into my boot because some idiot in management has decided not to put your orders in bags. To make it worse the staff member was telling me to hurry up because she was cold! We are done with this idiotic company!
Absolute shit as usual. Last time. Wow
As usual they managed to muck my payment up. Then they were delivering to an address I've never used but can't change the delivery address. Even for the next day. The staff in Sri Lanka? or wherever don't know that so they're arguing Asda customer service (sic) while Im listening. Complete fiasco as usual
