Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 54 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently state that initial online price quotes are drastically reduced once the company inspects the shipped device. Consumers also mention waiting many weeks or even months for payouts without receiving clear updates or valid explanations. Additionally, individuals describe experiencing terrible customer support, remaining stuck on long phone holds without getting any resolution. Some reviewers were happy with previous transactions where they received their advertised money quickly and without any trouble. Other consumers noted that delayed payments eventually arrived after persistent follow-ups or formal complaints.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Steer well clear at all costs. See similar customer experiences to mine of selling your phone to this company. Price of phone for the model and condition was confirmed via their website UR.CO.UK Once they receive it they then try and low ball you with a lower price. On acceptance of their revised offer they stated payment would be made within 14-30 days, which is a joke. After nearly 3 months of waiting for my payment and the numerous emails and phone calls where you are told they have longer processing times than usual due to a backlog of outstanding orders, and they can not process payments, or confirm when payment will be made. I am now in the process of talking to a media outlet to publish mine and other disgruntled customers still waiting on payment from this company. Barry Poke (Director) of BUYUR Limited Company Registration: 07166414. Trading standards and the Police have been advised along with an application through the small claims courts.

Appalling

I sent my phone away with no faults or defects, in the condition described.
I was offered £150 for the device which was the best offer after comparing various phone recycling companies. When the phone arrived with Buyur I was given several low ball offers which were less than 1/3rd of the agreed price. I rejected these offers, each time being offered a slight improvement on the previous offer. After 3-4 rejected offers, they eventually offered me the full price as agreed. I was then told that the payment would be processed. I am now nearly three months from that point and have no received my money. Any contact with the company just leads to vague statements about "dealing with a backlog" or "hope to have an update in a few days."

I have requested return of the device on several occasions and they say that they can't do this once an offer has been accepted. So I am left with no device and no payment

Bought a faulty device off these guys

Bought a faulty device off these guys, they refused to give me my money back. Trading standards mean nothing to the owner of this business. You have been warned. The litany of bad reviews of ur.co.uk, buyur.co.uk and supplyur.co.uk should hopefully mean these scam artists go out of business soon. Certainly they have cash flow issues, payments for devices sent in are not being made. The owner and CEO has a dubious history, I'd stay well clear.

Frauds maybe

ALLOW ME CALL OUT THIS HORRENDOUS
BUSINESS. same old story quoted a high price, all of a sudden it was unfit for the price. I asked for my phone back they declined. Agreed on a price on the 14th of May, I was supposed to receive payment 7 working days after (so I thought) I got paid on the 23rd of July because I made a court claim. Absolutely unacceptable!!!! please avoid this business 🫶🏾

After waiting 3 months for payment I applied for a court order through small claims court and as yet they have not replied.
Received an email from Wendy @ customer service stating the money had been paid. She is a liar as I am still waiting for payment into my account.
I have tried to contact them several times but it appears I am being ignored. Maybe a road trip is next so that I can speak to someone face to face

This is a scam

This is a scam, once you send your phones you just get emails saying 'longer processing times for payment'. But they don't pay. They have two of my phones, still not paid for, still making excuses. I've just found out you can report them to the police for theft so I will be doing this if I don't receive payment by the end of the week. More people need to do this so these companies realise they can't keep hiding behind a website.

*As an update I sent two phones to this company in April and I have just now (1st July) received payment for ONE. And only after I said I would report them to companies house for fraudulent behaviour.
They have several websites all doing the same thing, BUYUR, UR and SupplyUR. All of these have the same awful customer reviews with people not being paid. However the owner Barry Poke has also just setup a new one URBusiness. So they know they are onto a good thing.

Never Ever Again

After so many text messages telling me to read yet another email reporting that they are progressing payment of the agreed price I decided that enough was enough so I called them only to be fobbed off.

I then sent an email giving them 7 days to return the phone or pay up.

Yes they responded and I got my money today so if you like aggravation and frustration then this is a suitable company for you to get some a plenty.

Beware of this company

Beware of this company, you may get linked to them via backmarket or amazon. They operate a very dubious business model, offering you big sums for your devices but then you send it in and they do not pay anything like what they offered. Current cash flow problems mean you probably won't get paid at all!! Look up the owner's track record of company's in the Crewe and Nantwich areas and you'll realise this is not someone you would trust!

DO NOT SELL YOUR PHONE TO THESE!

DO NOT SELL YOUR PHONE TO THESE!! Sent it off to initially get offered £72, and upon the ‘inspection’ it was noted that my phone had deep scratches all over the screen and back! Absolutely did not have any deep scratches, it had one light scratch could barely see it on the front, other than that it was absolutely immaculate! I rejected an offer of £25, for them to then offer £35, which I also rejected, and then they offered me £45, in which I also rejected and emailed them asking why if the phone was only worth £25 that they kept offering me more every time! Absolute rip off and a scam!! Would not recommend sending to these! Phone has now been returned but I am worried they’ve took parts out of it

Sold my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 512GB…

Sold my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 512GB (Order 900398140). Device was delivered 27 May 2026 and on 29 May they confirmed in writing that payment of £550.00 would be made within 7 working days. That deadline passed on 9 June 2026 with no payment. Every response has been the same generic "internal backlog" template with no payment date given. A formal final notice was ignored. I have now issued a Letter Before Action and filed with Resolver UK and Trading Standards. Avoid this company.

I would strongly caution others against…

I would strongly caution others against using this service based on my experience due to significant delays in payment and poor communication throughout the process.

I accepted an offer on 8 April and was told payment would be made within 7–14 working days after acceptance.

Once that timeframe passed, no payment had been received, so I contacted them for an update. I was told there were delays with their payments team and that my payment was “being processed”, but I was not given a confirmed payment date.

Over the following weeks I had to chase multiple times. Each time I was given similar responses about delays and assurances that it would be paid soon, but still no clear date or meaningful progress. At one point I was told it would likely be within 5 working days, but this also passed without payment being made.

After waiting significantly longer than the original timeframe (around 28 working days in total) and still not receiving payment, I had to escalate the matter formally by issuing a Letter Before Action in order to progress towards legal action.

Only after this escalation did communication continue, and I eventually received payment on 18 May.

While the payment was eventually made, the overall experience involved substantial delays beyond the promised timeframe, repeated chasing, and a lack of clear communication or firm payment dates throughout the process.

Scammers

Scammers, avoid at all costs. Sent a phone off to sell that was prestine condition (as new) then received a valuation £300 less than the initial price offered. Refused the offer, received the phone back and it was full of scratched front and back. BARRY POKE you should be ashamed and you need to start being a little more honest. I suppose thats why you are a director of multiple dissolved companies.

Do not send devices, company going bankrupt!

I believe this company may be in danger of going bust so would absolutely refrain from buying or selling with them, read all the other reviews on other sites: you will send your device off and whether you get your money or not is very much in doubt!! I sent in a device weeks ago, never got paid!
