I am extremely frustrated with hidden fees. When I signed up for this credit card in June, there was absolutely no mention of any membership fees. Now I find out that starting in November, I’m expected to pay a 5 pound monthly membership fee out of nowhere. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a deceptive practice.

Mateusz, we understand the frustration. Finding out about a £5 monthly fee that wasn't mentioned when you signed up is not the transparency you deserve.
We're making changes to bring more subscriptions, extra cashback, and remove service fees. You can still use Klarna for free at over 1 million stores where Klarna is offered at checkout. The membership is only needed for using Klarna's credit products at stores that don't currently offer Klarna, and you can sign up for just one month and cancel anytime with no notice period.
If you don't want the membership, you can cancel it in the Klarna app by going to Profile > Membership and selecting to downgrade to Standard. Your feedback about the communication of these changes has been shared with our team. Thank you for letting us know.
